The WBT Briarhoppers are the original band members who first came together in 1934 to fill the bill for WBT radio’s request for a hillbilly band to help promote its products. Fairy Festival
Enjoy a day of crafts, music, a costume parade, fairy house workshops, horse-drawn carriage rides. Author Tracy Kane will lead two workshops: build of whimsical fairy houses in Lost Hollow at 11 a.m. and the Orchid Conservatory at 1 p.m. Participants will collect and use natural supplies and build fairy dwells. Halle Russell will host two workshops at 9 a.m. and noon. Fairy houses from Halle’s workshops may be used in the holiday display and can be picked up after the holidays. Halle’s workshops are limited to 18 participants. Kids wearing fairy wings and/or outfits receive free admission.
