Chamber holding ribbon cutting
Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Allstate Insurance - Bobby Lipscomb Agent at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 18 at Lake Wylie Plaza.
The chamber nominating committee for directors of the chamber recommends five candidates to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors, beginning Dec. 1.
They are: Don Long, community volunteer; Donna Bordeaux - Bordeaux and Bordeaux, CPAs; Fred Caldwell, Fred Caldwell Chevrolet; Jane DuBois, Lake Wylie Marketing and Lake Wylie Today; Doug McSpadden, McSpadden Custom Homes.
Additional candidates may be nominated by a petition with signatures of the primary representative of at least 10 qualified members of the chamber. Petitions must be filed by 5 p.m. Nov. 20.
The chamber’s Holiday Gala is 6:30 p.m. to midnight Dec. 3 at River Hills Country Club.

York County Regional Chamber of Commerce hold hold these events this month:

Childcare consultant available
Cultural Care Au Pair has added Kellie Payne as child care consultant to serve York County and south Charlotte.
Payne will advise au pairs and their host families on educational opportunities, as well as organize activities for the extended Cultural Care Au Pair family.
The Paynes hired their first au pair before Kellie Payne’s husband, Tracy, deployed with the 1222nd Army Engineers in 2009 for their twins, who now are fluent in Russian.
