Club news: Girl Scout volunteers needed
Girl Scouts need volunteers
Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council needs nine to 10 volunteers by Dec. 4 to work with girls in York County.
Volunteers manage troops of an average of 10 girls. In York County, 87 girls are wait-listed until a qualified volunteer can be found to serve as a role model.
“This is a critical time of year for girls, Girl Scouts and our community,” said Angela Woods, chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council. “We have girls who want to be a part of this special organization yet we need leadership from the local community to deliver the proven Girl Scout experience.”
The Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council is seeking at least nine volunteers in York County to help lead troops. With more than a century of experience, the Girl Scouts provide adult learning opportunities to equip volunteers for success.
