Fort Mill Neighborhood Market hiring

Walmart is hiring for its new Fort Mill store.

A hiring center is open at 2349 N. Cherry Road in Rock Hill for the Walmart Neighborhood Market under construction in Fort Mill Plaza. The company will hire for up to 95 jobs. Job-seekers also can apply at careers.walmart.com.

The hiring center will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Positions include full-time and part-time.

“We are excited to meet new applicants and bring a fresh, new grocery option to the Fort Mill community,” store manager Samantha Cochran.

Any honorably discharged veteran since the Veterans Welcome Home Commitment launched in 2013 will receive a job offer. Walmart hired more than 100,000 veterans nationwide since the program launch. Most new associates will begin work in December.

An exact date for the new store opening hasn’t been set, according to a Walmart spokesman.
