Our tour:
1. Kim and Tony Trainer, The Bigger House (1846), 233 Catamount Drive, Clover.
2. The Magnolia House, Laura Brewer, owner, The S.A. Sifford House (1890), 221 N. Main St., Clover.
3. Derrick and Tracie Miller, The Martin Tate House (1859), 2760 Lincoln Road, York.
4. Jackson’s Kitchen, Mike Barrett, 304 N. Main St., Clover.
5. Iron Gate Horse Farm, Donnie Burris, Barn and Stable Manager, 649 Bellegray Road off Ridge Road, Clover.
6. Red Boot Ranch, Randy and Holt Harris, 1200 Peach Orchard Road, off Lawrence Road, Clover. The house, owned by Derrick and Tracie Miller, was built by Martin Tate in 1859 on land given to his father, James Andrew Tate, as a 1,500-acre land grant by King George III. They made bricks from clay from the creek. James Andrew Tate was from Scotland and a friend of Robert Burns. The house remained with the descendents of James Andrew Tate until the Millers bought it from Mrs. Juanita Crossland in 2003.
