Holiday concert

The Nation Ford High band and chorus performs in the school auditorium. Open to the public.

PawBrokers Jewelry Party

Thousands of pieces of jewelry will be displayed and sold at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, 940 Market St., Fort Mill. The event will feature designer pieces, estate and antique jewelry, retro items, precious stones, fine gold, silver, pearls and more. PawBrokers parties are based on the pay it forward concept. Previously enjoyed jewelry may be brought to the event and donated to PawBrokers, where it is re-merchandised and sold at future events. The party is free and open to the public. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of York County’s Project Safe Pet, which provides low cost spay and neuter services for the community.

Breakfast with Santa

The Fort Mill High Dance Team is hosting its annual event to raise money for its travel expenses. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Breakfast served in two sessions in the FMHS R-wing commons. Toys for Tots Golf Cart Poker Run

Help the Tega Cay Fire Department collect toys for kids who might otherwise go without. Register at the Tega Cay Golf Course clubhouse.

11 a.m.

Hanukah Extravaganza

Temple Kol Ami is throwing a celebration at its meeting space inside Unity Presbyterian Church, 303 Tom Hall St., Fort Mill. There will be kids crafts stations, face painting, a photo booth, an artists bazaar, games, latkes and more all free and open to the public.

Pancakes and Santa

Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene, 109 Harris Street, will have a meet Santa pancake breakfast. There will be crafts, decorate cookies and the real Christmas story.

Christmas parade

The City of Lancaster’s Annual Christmas Parade will take place in the Cultural Arts District of the Red Rose City. This year’s theme is “Lancaster – the Bright, Rose-Colored Star” and visitors can expect to see festive, brightly-lit floats, marching bands, and imaginative holiday creations of more than one 100 entries beginning on Main Street, at Springs Street, and continue through historic downtown. Christmas cheer

Glenrock Baptist Church invites everyone to join them for Christmas caroling, coffee, hot cider, cookies, and goodie bags for the children on the bandstand in Confederate Park on Main Street in Fort Mill. Bring your lawn chair.

Live theater

Sydney LoPour’s play “What is the True Meaning of Christmas?” will be performed at Grace Community UMC, 1190 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill. Free. For more information, call 803-548-4078.

Christmas dance

The public is invited to the Lake Wylie Shag Club Christmas Dance and barbecue dinner at the Fort Mill Moose Lodge, 1676 Harris Rd. Fort Mill. Admission is free for members, $10 for guests. The menu includes baked beans, potato salad, slaw, rolls and desserts.

Santa tour

During the Tega Cay Fire Department’s annual Santa Tour the big guy will make the rounds to all neighborhoods during the day – so be ready for a jolly drop-in at any time.

▪ Between the Springmaid Sheets,’ an exhibit of works of art from legendary Col. Elliott Springs’ daring 1940s and ’50s ad campaign will be on view for November and December in the Lancaster County Council of the Arts’ Galleries at The Historic Springs House, 201 W. Gay St., Lancaster.

▪  $1 dance lessons, the Lake Wylie Shag Club offers shag lessons and line-dance lessons at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the Fort Mill Moose Lodge, 1676 Harris Road, Fort Mill, for $1. Line-dance lessons begin at 6 p.m.; shag lessons begin at 7:30 p.m.; and an open dance floor starts at 8 p.m. The event features a DJ and snack bar.

▪  Fort Mill Veterans of Foreign Wars Monthly Breakfast, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. the second Sunday of each month in the VFW Hall, 1442 Harris Road, Fort Mill. Coffee, scrambled eggs, grits, sausage, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, fruit and hotcakes are offered for $6. Open to the public and family friendly.

▪  Bingo, hot food, at Fort Mill American Legion Post 43, 427 Banks St. Call 803-547-2414.

▪  Preschool storytime and activities, for 3- to 5-year-olds and their caregivers, will be 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesdays at the Del Webb Library, 7641 Charlotte Highway, Fort Mill. No registration required.

▪  Book clubs for adults, at the Fort Mill Public Library, 1818 2nd Baxter Crossing, Fort Mill. Join other book lovers for a monthly book discussion. Choose the group that best meets schedule and interests. Details: 803-547-4114 to learn more or register.

▪  Yoga classes, at Complete Wellness Chiropractic, 6:45 p.m. Thursdays at the Complete Wellness Chiropractic Office, 1520 Onyx Ridge, Suite 101, Fort Mill, as part of the Charlotte Yoga Club. Cost is $5 for club members and $7 for others. Call 704-899-5000.
