The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club annual pancake breakfast Dec. 12 at Camp Thunderbird drew 500 moms, dads and children raising $9,000, of which $4,760 will go to Lions charities.

The main attraction was Father Christmas posing with children for pictures. Other attractions included face painting, free eye exams and balloon twisting by magician Adrian Gagnon.

Also on site was York County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol; Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, complete with fire truck and fire prevention trailer; River Hills/Lake Wylie EMS ambulance; Justice the K-9 dog; and S.C. Highway Patrol with its Rollover Simulator.
