Lions fundraising campaign underway
The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club’s Community Foundation annual fundraising campaign is underway on behalf of the 35 area and statewide charities that count on the Lions for assistance.
Gifts donated to the foundation are invested with other gifts, and only the income earned from those investments is used to support the charities. As a result individuals and organizations who support the foundation are creating a legacy of giving that will last as long as the foundation exists.
Since its inception in 2008, foundation investments have distributed more than $58,000 to aid such as River Hills/Lake Wylie EMS, Lions Sight and Hearing Program, Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, Clover Area Assistance Center, Clover High scholarships and Hospice.
Ways of gifting include cash, IRAs, 401Ks, marketable securities, wills, living trusts, annuities, life insurance and retirement plans. For more information, call 803-831-0911.
