Police: $1,800 stolen from Fort Mill High School coach’s office

Someone stole more than $1,800 from a locked safe in a Fort Mill High School coach’s office, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.

Police were called to the school Nov. 30 after the theft was discovered. Footage from security cameras shows a male suspect driving a white SUV entering school property after hours and making his way to the coach’s office. It appeared the suspect used a key to enter the building.

There was no camera in the office and no other description of the suspect was in the report.

The money removed from the safe was in two containers – a bank-type money bag and plastic, resealable bag. The money bag was emptied and left behind, according to the report.

The case in under investigation.
