Volunteers needed at Lancaster warming center
The Lancaster Area Coalition for the Homeless need volunteers to help run its new warming center.
The warming center will be open overnight as needed through February. Volunteers would be asked to perform a variety of tasks, including serving meals, and are required to attend a procedural training session and pass a SLED background check.
Volunteers also will be needed for the annual LACH Point-In-Time count on Jan. 27 to help identify people who are homeless so local needs can be documented.
