Clover assistance center needs volunteers

Clover Area Assistance Center is seeking volunteer help in several areas.

▪ A volunteer to prepare information to CAAC’s webmaster on a biweekly or monthly basis. Skills needed include ability to organize facts and prepare brief articles, take digital photos, and communicate with agency partners. For an application, email karencaac@bellsouth.net.

▪ Volunteers who can assist with routine clerical tasks. Essential skills include attention to detail, organization and ability to work independently. This is a weekly or biweekly position. For an application, email karencaac@bellsouth.net.

▪ Volunteers with similar skills are needed to complete two projects that require phone contact, website reviews and information gathering. For an application, email karencaac@bellsouth.net.

▪ Volunteers to sort and stock product in the warehouse and pantry. May include periodic assistance with food pick-up and delivery. Myst be able to lift more than 35 pounds and arrange stock on shelves by expiration date. For an application, email annherbertcaac@gmail.com.

CAAC is at 1130 S.C. 55 E. In addition to food, Clover Area Assistance Center provides financial support for utilities, rent, fuels (kerosene, propane, oil), firewood, prescriptions and adult education. Through the support of the River Hills Lions Club, clients are eligible to apply for vision care and hearing aids. CAAC also operates a small medical and a dental clinic.
