Charlotte students bond helping other children

Palisades Episcopal School fourth-grade teacher Hailee Yurjevich used a grant from the Teaching Fellows Institute to partner her students with a class at Albemarle Road Elementary School to complete a service-learning project.

Students communicated and built relationships via Skype and class blogs to collect items for Children’s Attention Home in Rock Hill. To complete the project, students from both schools, and the children’s home, came together at PES for an afternoon of relationship building.

Cursive Writing Class open to all

Pine Grove Christian Academy, 5415 Highway 557, is offering an Introduction to Cursive Writing Class for all ages starting Feb. 8.

The five session will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 8, 11, 18, 25 and March 3.

2 make dean’s list at Coastal Carolina U.

Among 2,248 students making the fall dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University are two from Clover.

Ethan Babson is a senior majoring in musical theater and Savannah Kellett is a sophomore majoring in early childhood education.

To qualify for the list, upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. Learn more at coastal.edu/.

Wofford College posts dean’s list

Four from Lake Wylie area make Wofford College’s fall dean’s list.

They are: Ian David Telford of Lake Wylie, and Michael Chadwick Anderson, Victoria Marie Biggers and Bradley Scott Johnson, all of Clover.
