Silk Design Workshop

Two-day introductory workshop Feb. 27-28 exploring design and color while painting florals on silk. At the end of the workshop, you will have three scarves to take home. Harry Potter Science Saturday

A day of activities and information featuring real science based on the popular Harry Potter series of books. Topics include endangered animals and taste buds, both with a Harry Potter twist. A planetarium show features stars and constellations that share names with Harry Potter characters. The York County Library's Bookmobile will be on site. Enjoy the last weekend of the museum's "Only Owls" exhibit and shop in the Museum Store for owl-related merchandise and children's wands. Computer software aided photographer Rick Haithcox will give tips on how to have success shooting similar compositions at this First Tuesday Presentation. The First Tuesday presentation is part of the exhibition Art & Orchids: Flowers in Focus, which pairs the best of the garden’s orchids with stunning orchid photographs by three North Carolina photographers through March 12.
