The room was filled with laughter and smiles Feb. 13 as nearly 70 local senior citizens dressed to the nines in various shades of pink and red gathered to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The festive luncheon, an annual event organized by the Woman’s Club of Fort Mill, included seniors from the York County Council on Aging, St. John’s United Methodist Church, volunteers from the Fort Mill Community Cafe, the Leroy Springs Senior Line Dancers and the Leroy Springs Young at Heart Club.

Held at St. John’s United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Mill, nine Nation Ford Beta Club students and two students from Rock Hill volunteered their time assisting the seniors with celebratory party games and food.
