Lake Wylie lawyer named Solo General Counsel of Year

Allen Nason of Lake Wylie has been recognized as the 2016 Solo General Counsel of the Year by Charlotte Business Journal for his work with Eastwood Homes, the nation's 25th largest homebuilder.

As general counsel, Nason directs the legal affairs for four parent companies and more than 50 subsidiaries of Eastwood Homes. He is licensed to practice law in North and South Carolina, and Virginia.

"Being a general counsel satisfies the aspects of why I wanted to become a lawyer," he told the Charlotte Business Journal. "I get to set strategy, execute it and see what the end result is. "

The Fort Mill native said he was trained in a general counsel environment as an Army JAG officer where he represented the environmental and personnel offices on base, and he had four years experience as a real estate attorney in South Carolina.
