Letter to the editor: Poor planning during rush hour
Poor rush hour planning
Thursday, March 17, traffic on Rt. 49 was backed up to the I-485/Rt. 49 interchange. It took an hour to get to the Buster Boyd Bridge.
All the while I was thinking there must be an awful accident and someone is having a really bad day. So sitting in this traffic was tolerable with that thought in mind.
When I saw what the cause was, I lost it. Who could possibly have thought that closing down one lane at rush hour was a good idea? Really? That work couldn't have been done during the day and finished up before 4 or 4:30? REALLY poor planning. Beyond poor planning! What were they thinking?
