Rotary installs Little Free Libraries in Lake Wylie

Staff reports

Lake Wylie Rotary Club has installed two of three Little Free Libraries in the lake community. One at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church parking lot, and the other at State Line Road school bus stop. The third is to be determined.

The club’s goal is to impact early childhood literacy. The libraries, with books for children and adults, are blue and gold painted wooden boxes where individuals can take a book.

The club also works to keep the books stocked. The club purchased books from York County Library, and received donations from Clover Area Assistance Center, Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation, Good Samaritan UMC and club members.
