17.44 lbs. wins Lake Wylie weekly fishing tournament
The Thursday Night Tournament Trail had another good turnout April 15 for the second tournament of the season.
“We had another 49 boat field,” said Erwin Gaston, who co-organizes the trail with Jeremy Cabe. “It was a beautiful crisp April night for fishing and for most the fishing was good.”
Steve Addington and Bucky Helms came away as the winners. They brought five bass to the scales weighing in at 17.44 pounds, followed by Mike Stephens with a weight of 16.62 pounds.
The big fish of the night, weighing in at 7.43 pounds, was brought in by the team of Doug Kennerly and Kale Steele.
The weekly night tournament runs through Aug. 25 launching and weighing in at Buster Boyd Access Area with the Championship Fish-off on Sept. 2-3.
