Relevant Church in Lake Wylie adds two pastors
Relevant Church announces the addition of two pastors.
Greg Carr has been named as worship pastor. Carr, a Texas native, graduated from Liberty University with degrees in Biblical studies and business management. He was the owner of a commercial construction company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area before going into full-time ministry in 2002. During the past 14 years, Carr has been a part of planting three churches and has served as worship pastor at some of the largest churches in the country. He and his wife, Mia, and three children Noah, 12, Kendall, 11, and Jude, 1, recently moved to Lake Wylie.
Josh Hair is the generations pastor. He studied at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from the School of Youth Ministry. He later completed his bachelor's degree in Biblical studies from Criswell College in 2014. He and his wife, Summer, have been serving in student ministry for 10 years. They have three children Jaylyn, 3, Jaxon, 2, and Jolie Grace, 6 months, and live in Steele Creek.
Relevant Church meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at Crowders Creek Elementary School, 5515 Charlotte Highway. Nursery and children’s programs are available during worship times.
A lakeside seasonal campus meets at 8:30 a.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area near T-bones on the Lake lawn beginning June 5.

Free gospel concert May 15 in Steele Creek
The Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Chancel Choir and The Rock Hill Ecumenical Chorale present “Gospel Mass by Robert Ray” at 5 p.m. May 15 at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 York Road.
The collaborative concert is under the direction of M. Myron Walker II and D. Jeffery Sligh.
Ray received his bachelor of music degree in piano performance from Northwestern University. He has appeared as piano soloist with the Kirkwood Symphony Orchestra, Northwestern University Orchestra, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, and Seoul (Korea) Philharmonic Orchestra. He came to the University of Missouri-St. Louis from the University of Illinois, Urbana, where he served as accompanist coach for the Strings Department and established the Black Student Chorus.

Church offering line dance classes
St John’s United Methodist Church, 321 S. Oakland Ave., offers line dancing 7-8:30 p.m. May 16 and 23.
Julia Robbins will teach popular line dances and favorites. Written dance steps will be provided. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays.

Graham library features new display
Billy Graham Library is featuring a new display, Power of Christ in the Home, in the Journey of Faith through the end of June.
Visitors will get an intimate look into Billy and Ruth Graham’s Christ-centered home and will see personal memorabilia, a family Bible and more never-before-seen items. This special display is free to view and open to the public.
The library will host Doughnuts with Dad 9:30 a.m.-noon June 18. All fathers receive a special gift of appreciation. No registration is required.
