Letter: Time for change U.S. Dist. 5

Time for new leadership in Dist. 5

Fifth District Congressional Candidate Fran Person visited with members of the Indian Land Democratic Club to talk about why he is running for Congress.

He explained that Congress is broken because members of Congress are too busy fighting amongst themselves instead of working for us. He said that Mulvaney went to Washington promising to fix Congress but it has gotten worse each year that he has been there.

“We need to support our men and women in uniform, not punish them with a senseless sequester that guts military services,” he said.

Fran Person asked the group to name one thing that Mick Mulvaney has accomplished that has helped the constituents in Dist. 5. Not one person had an answer.

The values that guide Fran are: hard work, team work, and having a common goal. He noted that his common goal is to give people the tools they need to have a better life by investing in education, bringing good paying jobs to the district, rebuilding roads, bridges, airports and seaports.

Fran Person said that it is time for new leadership in the Fifth Congressional District. He asked members of the club for their support and received a standing ovation. Support from the group was overwhelming.
