New dentist coming to Shoppes at the Landing in Lake Wylie

It’s wet dirt now, but soon the propertyat Charlotte Highway and Latitude Lane will be Lake Wylie’s newest dental office.

Professional Resource Development based in Illinois owns the property between Latitude Lane and Goodyear store. The company confirmed a dental office is under construction there. The project manager wasn’t available for additional details.

Brian Morse with builder Metrolina Builders said Heartland Dental, a dental support company with more than 900 doctors nationwide, will open there. York County information confirms it. The nearest location is West Town Dental Care in Fort Mill, near the S.C. 160 and Pleasant Road intersection.

Morse said he expects construction to be complete in the fall.

“We’re just waiting on some rain to stop,” he said Thursday. “We’re looking to have that turned over to them, weather pending, by around the end of October.”

Morse said his company could have more Lake Wylie projects ready to announce this fall, but nothing is signed off on yet.

“We’ve got some other stuff in that area, but nothing official yet,” he said. “It’s just in the talking phase.”

The dental location, which could be called Lake Wylie Dental when complete, is part of a growing Shoppes at the Landing. Last summer Lake Wylie Pediatric Dentistry was announced for 534 Nautical Drive, beside Lake Wylie Professional Center. Dr. Ryan Colosi looks to open there later this year.

In the fall, Morningstar Mini Storage announced it is coming to 5 acres at Nautical and Latitude.

Earlier this month, developers confirmed the 9,000-square-foot Wylie Commons between S.C. 49 and Nautical, along Bulkhead Way, will be home to at least five businesses including a Moe’s Southwest Grill, SportClips and TK Nails Spa & Waxing.

Developers behind a proposed preschool in Shoppes at the Landing have met with county planners, as have representatives from a national tire and auto shop across the street. Neither project is official. The tire shop would be part of a growing development along S.C. 49 and Carroll Cove Road that includes Taco Bell and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Shoppes at the Landing is a 52-acre mixed-use develpoment including restaurants, retail and strip mall space with anchor stores along Charlotte Highway.
