New mobile vet coming to Lake Wylie

Dr. M’s Mobile Pet Vet, a mobile veterinary practice, will begin scheduling appointments for the week of Aug. 8 for dogs, cats and pocket pets.

Hours are by appointment only in the afternoons offering pet exams, vaccines, routine bloodwork and compassionate home euthanasia to the pets in the Lake Wylie area. This is not an emergency practice.

Raleigh. N.C., native Dr. Margaret Edwards Meyer-Cuno has owned two veterinary practices, Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital and Wellington Animal Hospital. She graduated from Meredith College in 1983 and North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She practiced in Raleigh 1988-2015 when she sold her last practice.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, N.C. Veterinary Medical Association, former board member and officer for the SPCA of Wake County.

She and husband Doug Meyer-Cuno live in Lake Wylie. They have four adult children, three dogs and two cats. She also is discipleship chair and church council member at River Hills Community Church.
