Charity boat poker run Aug. 13 on Lake Wylie

Parrot Poker Run for Lake Wylie Children’s Charity starts at noon Aug. 13 at T-Bones on the Lake.

Early registration is 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12 at the restaurant.

First boat is out at noon, last boat out at 3 p.m. Last boat in at 5 p.m. There are seven stops, all by boat, with a party at the last stop at the North Carolina sandbar.

Cost is $20 per hand, $5 wild card at last stop.

Best hand wins $400, worst $100. There also will be raffle prizes.

Proceeds benefit Lake Wylie Children’s Charity, a volunteer charity that assists local families who battle with childhood illnesses. For information, visit lkwchildrenscharity.org.
