Update: Tega Cay’s Thunderbolts play another high-scoring thriller for softball title

Three days after winning the city U12 title, the Thunderbolts were crowned queens of York County U12 softball when they defeated visiting Allen Tate Realty of Rock Hill 11-10 at Runde Park.

It was a big year for girls’ softball in Tega Cay. For the first time, the city had two girls’ U12 teams, and both made it to the second round of the playoffs where they went head to head Monday night. The Thunderbolts won that thriller 15-14 over the Tega Cay Mad Hatters.
