Youth wrestling coaches needed

Lancaster County offers paid referee jobs
Lancaster County Parks and Recreation is looking for individuals who would like to officiate Youth Basketball League game. The pay is $20-$25 per game. Applicants must have some knowledge of the Official South Carolina High School League Rules. High school certified officials preferred, but not necessary. A sign-up sheet will be at Springdale Recreation Center in the main office or call Jessica Banks at 803-285-5545 if interested.

Lancaster County’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold registration for youth basketball (boys 7-15 and girls ages 7-12) and cheerleading (girls ages 7-12) 5-8 p.m. through Nov. 19 at the Indian Land recreation center at Walnut Creek, 1051 Walnut Creek Parkway.
The fee for basketball is $55 per child. All middle and high school students may sign up with LCPR and if they make their school’s basketball team the registration fee can be refunded. The fee for cheerleading is $30. No cheerleader uniforms are required. LCPR will issue girls a T-shirt and pom poms.
Also, an instructional basketball league for boys and girls ages 5-6 will begin in January. The fee is $30 per child. This league will run on weekends for about five weeks. For more information, go to mylancastersc.org/parks.
