Nation Ford squads split final home track meet
The Nation Ford Falcons track team finished off its home schedule by splitting a meet with York.
The Falcons’ girls’ squad won 114-18, while the boys fell 93-48. The girls’ team swept the relay events, winning the 4x100-meter relay, the 4x400-meter relay and the 4x800-meter relay.
Individual winners for the Falcons included Angelnique Bryant, who took the 100-meters in 12.2 seconds. Camryn McDonaugh won two events in the 1,600-meters and 3,200-meters. She won the 1,600 in 5:46 and the 3,200 in 14:05.
Makayla Blackwell won the 400-meters in 1:03 and Raven Brown won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:24. Addy Rogers won the 800-meters in 2:36.
Elaine Griffith won two events in the 200-meters in 27.3 and long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 8.5 inches. Holdyn Ferguson won the triple jump with a total of 30.5 feet, while Chynna Crawford won two events in the shot put and discus. Crawford threw the discus 104 feet, one inch and the shot put 35 feet, 4 inches.
Laura Manning won the high jump clearing five feet.
The boys’ team won the 4x800-meter relay event and had several individual winners as well. Winning for the Nation Ford boys’ team was Luke Carmeci in the 1,600-meters in 5:09. Tim Tom won the 800-meters in 2:13 and Malcolm McClain won the 3,200-meters in 11:10. Brendan Burns won the pole vault toping 11 feet, 6 inches.
Coming up for the Falcons’ track team is the York County meet at York April 21 and the Region III meet later this month at Northwestern.
