Baxter swim team bounces back with easy win
Shaking off their first loss of the season, the Baxter Barracudas swimming team bounced back by winning handily against Weddington Chase, 527-342.
Baxter lost its first meet to Windy Rush in a close contest 460-376, but was without 57 of the team’s swimmers. The Barracudas have two more meets this week before closing out the regular season at home with Sardis Thursday.
The Barracudas won 16 of 20 relay events and 28 of 50 individual events against Weddington Chase. Individual Baxter winners in that meet were:
Kian Constantine – boys’ 11-12 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter individual medley and 50-meter butterfly
Anna Constantine – girls’ 13-14 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter individual medley and 50-meter butterfly
Ben Fenwick – boys’ 50-meter backstroke, 100-meter individual medley and 50-meter butterfly
Aiden Constantine – boys’ 13-14 100-meter individual medley and 50-meter butterfly
Owen Fey – boys’ 9-10 25-meter freestyle and 100-meter individual medley
Davis Rodriguez – boys’ 13-14 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter breaststroke
Hailey Stump – girls’ six and under 25-meter freestyle
William Spatola – boys’ six and under 25-meter freestyle
Reagan Michael – girls’ eight and under 25-meter freestyle
Ryan Pardo – boys’ eight and under 25-meter freestyle
Hannah Horsley – girls’ 11-12 50-meter freestyle
Adam Springs – boys’ 15-18 50-meter freestyle
Lauren Hardy – girls’ eight and under 25-meter backstroke
Dean Willis – boys’ 13-14 50-meter backstroke
Mary Palmer – girls’ 11-12 50-meter breaststroke
Matthew Arnette – boys’ 11-12 50-meter breaststroke
Scott Bowman – boys’ 15-18 50-meter breaststroke
