Report: Man tried to steal meat from Rock Hill store
Store employees stopped a man from stealing meat from the Bi-Lo on Main Street in Rock Hill, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The man, described as a thin, black male wearing a blue shirt, jeans and a hat, tried to steal four packages of meat on Tuesday around 2:40 p.m., employees told officers.
He was “acting suspiciously in the meat department” and matched the description of someone who has previously stolen meat from the Bi-Lo, the report stated.
Employees confronted the man and he fled, dropping the meat and a cell phone. He ran towards the Ace Hardware and drove away in a green Ford Taurus. The incident is still under investigation.
