Police say more than $1,500 in electronics and a gun were stolen from a home on Green Street in Rock Hill on Thursday morning. They were recovered a short time later during an unrelated traffic stop.

A man told officers that several items were taken from his Green Street home while he was at work, according to a police report. When he got home, he found the bottom panel of his door kicked in, the report states. Among the missing items were two gaming systems, an iPad, a laptop and a pistol.

At around 12:45 p.m., officers pulled over a car on Stonewall Avenue because it had a defective brake light, according to another police report. One passenger fled on foot, but two other passengers and the driver were detained.

Inside the car, officers found all of the stolen electronics and the gun, along with a marijuana grinder and a second gun.

JaDarius Roberts, 18, Shykeim Smith, 19, and Quentarius Mobley, 19, were charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol. Mobley and Smith also were charged with possession of marijuana. No burglary charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
