Rock Hill man arrested on drug charges
A drug investigation by York County narcotics agents led to the arrest of a Rock Hill man on four drug charges Thursday, according to police and jail records.
Desmond Wherry, of 524 Bynum Ave., Rock Hill, was one of three people arrested during the execution of a search warrant, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. The other two were charged with simple marijuana possession. Wherry faces drug distribution charges after being found with crack cocaine, marijuana, money, and scales, according to the report.
Wherry has two previous drug convictions, police say. He is being held at the York County jail on a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.

York woman arrested for dangerous animal
A York woman was cited for possession of a dangerous animal and damage to property after her dog allegedly rushed into a woman’s mobile home, forced the woman and her family to hide in a bedroom, and killed a cat, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
In a 911 call Thursday, the victim told deputies that the pit bull ran in through an open door, forcing her to hide in a bedroom with her children until help arrived. The cat was killed in the living room by the pit bull, the report states.
York County animal control officers took the dog away.

Two registers stolen from convenience store
A thief wearing a mask and gloves used a paver stone to smash a convenience store window and steal two cash registers containing almost $2,000, according to a police report.
In the theft Thursday around 4 a.m. at the River Stop store on Mount Gallant Road near Lake Wylie, a regular register and a register with lottery receipts were taken, the store manager told police.
No arrests have been made.

Three charged with drug felonies
Agents with the York County drug unit charged three people from Clover Friday with several drug felonies that include trafficking narcotics, according to jail records. All three are being held in the York County jail, according to jail records.
Eric Anthony Adams, 26, is charged with two counts of trafficking crack cocaine or ice, and four counts of drug distribution including near a park, according to jail records. His bond was set at $25,000, according to court records.
Brianna Sharone Robbins, 25, faces two counts of trafficking and five counts of drug distribution that includes allegations of drug sales near a park. Her bond was set at $25,000.
Police received information that drugs were being sold at the house, said Lt. Mike Ligon of the county drug unit. After receiving a search warrant they found more than 140 grams of crack cocaine, 214 grams of cocaine, 84 grams of marijuana, and more than $2,600 in cash.
After conducting a traffic stop agents charged April Louise Adams, 25, with two drug charges, Ligon said. She has a bond set at $4,000, records show.
