Rock Hill woman, 73, foils burglary by yelling
A 73-year-old Rock Hill woman foiled a burglary Sunday night in Rock Hill by yelling at the suspects who were trying to get in her back door, a police report states.
The woman told police that banging on the back door of her Ogden Road home scared her, so she yelled at the two men - one of them in a mask - to leave. The suspects fled.
Police responded and later saw two men walking on nearby railroad tracks. The two ran but police caught the younger one, a 15-year-old who is being held as a juvenile offender, after a brief chase.
Officers found the second suspect hiding in a nearby church bathroom.
Jadarius Lindsay, 18, was charged with burglary after officers seized the mask and other items. Lindsay was denied bond after appearing in court Monday morning.
