A 39-year-old man was charged with indecent exposure after he was found walking on Cherry Road without any pants or underwear on, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Around 10:19 a.m. Wednesday, police found Derrick Melton walking on Cherry Road, wearing only a yellow shirt, the report states.

When police asked Melton for his ID, he said “I plead the fifth,” the report says.

Police asked Melton to return home and put on pants, to which he replied “No, I’m a nudist,” the report states.

After police told Melton it is illegal to walk around exposed in the city, he replied “Then go ahead and arrest me for indecent exposure, because I’m not putting on any pants,” the report says.

Melton was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. He was taken to the Rock Hill jail.
