A 17-year-old Rock Hill girl has been charged with armed robbery in connection with a shooting earlier this month, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Ah’Laysha Destiny Locke is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon.

At 12:56 a.m. June 6, police responded to the intersection of State Street and Carolina Avenue in Rock Hill in reference to a shooting, a report states. Officers found a man lying on the ground.

Another man told police he heard a gun shot around 12:33 a.m. and later saw the hurt man leaning against a tree, the report says. The hurt man told police he had been shot.

The hurt man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, the report states. The man kept looking for his wallet, and told police that someone had tried to take it, the report says.

Emergency Medical Services treated the man, who had what looked to be a gun shot wound, the report says.

Officers found a shell casing off State Street, but did not locate any suspects, the report states.

Investigators later connected Locke to the shooting, said Capt. Mark Bollinger, public information officer for the Rock Hill Police Department.

On June 9, officers arrested Locke on four charges related to the shooting, a report states.

She is also charged with assault and battery, possession of a firearm by a person under 21 and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, records show.

Locke remains jailed on a $60,000 bond.
