Chester police arrest one, seeking second man, in April armed robbery
Chester police say they have arrested one man in connection with an April 10 armed robbery on Ashford Street, but are still looking for a second.
Police arrested John Willie Wilmore III of 512 Lincolnville Road, and are still seeking Geraldo Dametrius Land of 530 Rose St.
The pair are accused of entering a home where three men were playing cards, and holding them at gunpoint and robbing them, according to the Chester Police Department.
After Sgt. Justin Moss of the Chester police was able to identify the suspects, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office helped apprehend Wilmore.
Both are charged with three counts of assault and battery, three counts of armed robbery, one count of burglary and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
They were able to arrest Wilmore through their tipline.
“We just want the public to know that we’re here and we just want to get these guys off the streets,” said Keisha Tobias, spokeswoman for the Chester Police Department.
