Dog dies from apparent poisoning, Rock Hill police investigating
Detectives in Rock Hill are investigating whether a man’s 4-year-old pit bull that died Sunday was poisoned.
The owner of the dog called police Sunday after the dog was bleeding from the mouth and intestinal tract, then died, according to a Rock Hill Police Department report. The dog had no previous medical problems.
Responding officers saw that the dog appeared to have been bleeding from its hindquarters, the report states. The report stated that it is believed the dog had been poisoned, which is a crime.
