A Rock Hill man was arrested Monday evening after he was spotted running towards Cherry Road with two guns.
When police found Anthony Prado, 19, and asked him to stop, he fled, leading officers on a chase through several parking lots. Prado slipped through a small hole in a fence during the chase, a police report states, but officers were able to stop him.
When asked who he was, Prado told officers, “Do your job and find out yourself.”
Officers were able to identify Prado, who also gave them a false birthday. Prado had a South Carolina identity card and a New Jersey driver’s license, which Prado said he uses to purchase alcohol. Officer noted in the report Prado smelled like alcohol.
Upon further investigation, officers found out that Prado’s girlfriend, 26, knew Prado had been consuming alcohol and tried to take his keys away at the QT gas station on Riverview Road. Prado then grabbed two pellet rifles from the car and left.
Officers found the pellet guns a short distance away from the QT.
Prado was charged with resisting police, public disorderly conduct and giving false information to police. He was also cited for his false driver’s license.
