Two charged after man, woman attack Rock Hill police
Two Rock Hill residents were charged with criminal domestic violence Tuesday evening after police responded to a disorderly conduct call on Tuesday evening, according to a Rock Hill police report.
Nevada S. Henderson, 19, was charged with first offense criminal domestic violence and resisting arrest, according to the report. Catilyn A. Hoofnagle, 20, was charged with first offense criminal domestic violence and hindering police.
Police responded to a North Jones Avenue home after receiving a call of disorderly conduct about 8:40 p.m.
According to the police report, officials found Hoofnagle across the street from the residence and Henderson inside. Hoofnagle told police that nothing had happened and that they were only arguing. Witnesses said they saw Henderson standing over Hoofnagle, cursing at her, the report states.
Henderson refused to come out of the house for police, but opened the door for Hoofnagle, grabbing her by the arm. A police officer was immediately behind Hoofnagle, entering the house as Henderson tried to shut the door on him, according to the report.
The officer grabbed Henderson’s arm, trying to place him under arrest, but Henderson grabbed at the officer’s arm, pulling them off balance. Another officer responded with a knee to Henderson’s chest, and two officers struggled to get handcuffs on Henderson, according to the report.
Hoofnagle then tried to push the officers off Henderson, wrapping herself around Henderson. Officers pulled her away and Henderson was handcuffed, according the report.
Henderson and Hoofnagle were intoxicated at the time of incident, the report states.
