Rock Hill teens caught with pot in museum parking lot

Two Rock Hill teenagers were arrested this week after an officer caught them with marijuana cigarettes and loose marijuana in the parking lot of the York County Museum.

Officers were called to the museum parking lot Monday in reference to a possible drug transaction taking place in a white Toyota that was parked outside the museum. When they arrived, they found the teenage boys and two others, ages 15 and 18, in the car, which had “a strong odor of fresh marijuana,” according to a Rock Hill police report. Officer could also see marijuana shavings on a seat in the car.

The teens said they had been on the walking trail and were getting ready to leave.

The two boys were found to have hand-rolled marijuana cigarettes in their possession. There was also a pill bottle with loose marijuana inside.

They were summonsed to Family Court and released to their parents.
