Stolen truck found crashed in a Rock Hill ditch
A missing truck was recently found in a ditch about three miles from where it was reported stolen.
A Catawba man’s work vehicle, a 2011 GMC truck, was taken from his home on Leisure Lane. The truck was unlocked and the keys were in the toolbox on the back of the truck, states a report from the York County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy who responded to the incident could see where the truck had been driven through a ditch onto the road.
Another deputy patrolling the area found the truck crashed into a ditch in front of Castle Heights Middle School on Firetower Road. The keys were still in the truck and nothing appeared to be stolen.
