Rock Hill Police called after fight in skating rink parking lot
Rock Hill police officers were called out to address issues involving juveniles after a youth event on Wednesday night at Kate’s Family Skating Center.
When officers arrived at the area around 11:30 p.m., they saw numerous juveniles in the parking lot, in the roadway on Celanese Road and in the parking lot at the QT across the street, a police report states.
Management at Kate’s told officers about 200 kids were at the event and there were no issues inside. After the party was over, several other people showed up in the parking lot “causing a disturbance.” There were reports of fighting in the parking lot at Kate’s and in the parking lot of the Citgo gas station next door.
One boy told officers he was assaulted, but his father showed up to pick him up and refused to file a report.
The city of Rock Hill has a teen curfew of 11 p.m.
