Police: Rock Hill woman pointed gun, threatened others at hospital
A Rock Hill woman was arrested on gun charges after allegedly threatening her mother’s caretaker and his family member in the parking lot at Piedmont Medical Center on Wednesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jacqueline Wilson, 61, arrived at the hospital “extremely angry,” according to Rock Hill police report.
Wilson believed the home care nurse for her mother, who was hospitalized, was taking advantage of her. Wilson told the nurse and his family member to leave the hospital, which they did, the report states.
Wilson then confronted the pair in the parking lot, waving a handgun at them and threatening them. Two people were able to get Wilson into the car and drove away from the hospital.
Officers found them a short while later in the Publix parking lot on Heckle Boulevard. Wilson was “agitated” and initially denied having a gun or threatening anyone. She later admitted to having the gun and said she gave it to her brother, who turned it over to law enforcement.
Wilson was charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm.
