Rock Hill check cashing employee robbed of deposit after closing, police say

Police in Rock Hill are investigating the reported robbery of a check-cashing business deposit from an employee.

In the incident late Friday, the employee of the check-cashing business in the 2400 block of Cherry Road told officers that she was attempting to lock the door after finishing work.

She told police a man waiting outside the business took her purse, which included the business’s deposits for the day, an incident report shows. The purse also included her own money and other items, police said.

The amount of money stolen was not released by police.
