Man robbed Rock Hill Family Dollar with handgun, police say

A man robbed a Family Dollar store on Albright Road with a handgun Tuesday morning, Rock Hill police say.

The suspect pointed a gun at the cashier and told her to give him the money in the cash register just before noon Tuesday, according to a Rock Hill Police Department report.

The report says the suspect told the cashier to go into the room in the back of the store because “he did not want to hurt her, and just wanted the money.”

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and drove away in a brown four-door vehicle, the report says.

Anyone with information should call the Rock Hill Police Department at 803-329-7200.
