Two men from New York are accused of injuring a Rock Hill man this week during a fight at Empire Pizza off Celanese Road, police records show. The local man claimed to police that the argument started over sports and that one of the men body slammed him outside the bar.

The victim, 32, had multiple cuts and bruises on his arms and legs when police officers arrived, according to the incident report. He said the fight started just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

A witness at the bar and restaurant corroborated the man’s statements, police say. Officers then used credit card receipts from the bartender to figure out the mens’ identity.

Rock Hill Police arrested the two men – Kevin Michael Jimerson, 35, and Brian Nephew, 35, — at the Hampton Inn hotel, the report states. They were charged with assault and battery, third degree, records show.

Jimerson and Nephew told officers there was no assault at the bar but there was a verbal argument, according to the incident report. Witnesses told police there was a woman and a third man with Jimerson and Nephew, but they were not charged.

Bond was set at $1,092 for both Jimerson and Nephew.
