Rock Hill woman arrested after trying to hit boyfriend with car, police say
Rock Hill police charged a woman with criminal domestic violence Wednesday night after she reportedly attempted to run her boyfriend over with a car.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Friedheim Road at 10:27 p.m. after a 56-year-old man reported that Delacie Davis, 54, tried to run him over in the front yard of their home after the two had an argument about the couple’s grandchildren.
The man told officers he was standing in the yard helping a friend with his truck when Davis drove up onto the lawn and began to follow him around the yard, leaving observable tire tracks in the grass, according to the incident report. The man said he threw rocks at the vehicle while Davis was chasing him.
Police located Davis inside the vehicle parked at a convenience store a short distance away. The officers noted marks on the vehicle consistent with it being pelted with rocks.
Davis was arrested on a charge of criminal domestic violence second or subsequent offense. Police records show she has three previous CDV convictions between 2009 and 2013.
