Teens charged with drug possession, illegal carrying of gun in Rock Hill
Three teens were charged by police Thursday night in Rock Hill after officers say they found one carrying a gun illegally and another with nearly 22 grams of marijuana.
Officers say someone reported that a group of four people were in the park at Country Club Apartments smoking marijuana around 7 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old with a concealed handgun. He was charged with unlawful possession of a pistol and illegally carrying the gun, Rock Hill Police records show.
Another person – a 15-year-old boy – was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after police say they found a glass jar in his pants with nearly 22 grams of the drug inside. Officers also seized $141 from the boy, the incident report states.
A 16-year-old girl with the group handed an officer a marijuana cigarette that she said one of the boys asked her to hide in her bra. She was charged with possession of marijuana and released to her mother.
