Rock Hill Police used Facebook to track down a man accused of using a woman’s debit card, draining her account.

The woman deposited $60 last week in the ATM at Bi-Lo on East Main Street. But she accidentally left her card in the machine.

The next day, she remembered leaving the card behind. She went to Wells Fargo and discovered her account was in the negative after someone made a $230 withdrawal, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

The $230 withdrawal was captured on surveillance video, so police posted photos on the department’s Facebook page.

Detectives received several anonymous tips to identify Edward Alan Hanson, 25, of Rock Hill as the suspect.

Hanson was arrested on Thursday and charged with financial credit card fraud, the report states.
