Man wounded in Rock Hill drive-by shooting airlifted to Charlotte hospital
Police in Rock Hill are investigating a drive-by shooting in Rock Hill Friday night.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Flint Hill Street, at the intersection of Edgewood Drive, according to the police report from the incident.
The man, who was wounded, told officers an SUV was driving down the street with its lights off and that he told everyone outside to get inside.
The man said that as he tried to get inside, he was shot, police said.
The victim was first transported to Piedmont Medical Center, then airlifted to a Charlotte hospital.
Officers found a shell casing near the intersection of the shooting. Police are investigating the incident as an attempted murder, but no arrests have been made.
