Rock Hill homeless center burglarized, police say
The Renew Our Community nonprofit center was robbed Tuesday night, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The organization is a Christian nonprofit that works with the poor and homeless to provide vocational assistance and other services.
Two power drills and a hand saw were stolen from the bike shop attached to the ROC agency, on East White Street in Rock Hill, the report says.
The suspect entered through a window covered in wood and broke into a locked closet, the report says.
One of the power drills belonged to a worker, and the other tools belonged to the organization, the report says.
Police responded to the organization at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, the report says.
No charges have been filed.
