Another Rock Hill resident, also on Thistledown Drive, told police someone tried to steal the inflatable Santa from her yard on Tuesday, another report says.
The victim told police a neighbor left a note on her door, warning her of an attempted theft, the report says. The note said the neighbor saw a woman driving a black Fort Expedition stop and try to steal the decoration.
A witness said the neighbor stopped the woman from stealing the decoration, but that the suspect cut one of the strings tying it down, the report says.
